Katikati's thriving horticultural & apiary hub In recent times Katikati has become a thriving horticultural region with kiwifruit and avocado orchards becoming the backbone of the town. In turn this is encouraging apiary and other related industries into the region. Katikati, under the auspices of the Western Bay District Council, is a town that knows its identity, prides itself on telling its stories and encourages growth.
