Kowhai Gallery was home Tauranga Heritage Collection's outstanding light-box exhibition of GLIMPSES - a snapshot of the rich heritage crossing Bay of Plenty.  This was accompanied by some amazing art work from Arohanoa Mathews and exquisite weaving by Lisa Passmore.

This very successful exhibition, Kaikauhoe - Pounamu Taonga o Tauranga Moana, acknowledged the legend of the greenstone as journeyed to from the Bay of Plenty its resting place in the South Island

​The Photographic History of Tauranga's Jazz Festival on Tauranga's Strand, has come about through a collaborative initiative between Taonga Tauranga, Taylor Bros Transport Ltd, Tauranga City Council's Heritage Collection, Tauranga Jazz Society, Downtown Tauranga, Trustpower, Tuskany Agency and Tauranga's Historical Society.  Read more about the Exhibition here
The aim being to make more of Tauranga and Western Bay of Plenty’s history accessible to all.

Lillie Scott and Liv Donavan-Grammer were the winners of the Senior Essay competition.  Lilly from Aquinas College won first prize of $1000.00 and Liv from Otumetai College was second with a $500.00 prize.
